Change of trend in Website flipping

The very simple model of blog/website flipping has undergone a change. Earlier you could flip a website or blog with 10 unique articles for a price of 200$-300$ easily but nowadys the same type of websites are getting flipped for 50-100$. This suggests that buyers are looking for something more out of a flip, for example: free hosting, free plr ebook to go along with it, free unique blog theme etc.

Why the earlier model has undergone a change is very difficult to say. Imagine, would you pay 200-300$ for blog having 10 unique articles if you were the buyer? No, I wouldn’t pay that much money because I know I can get the same type of articles for a cheaper price.

For you to get nice money for a website/blog use should give as much incentives as possible. The more the incentives the more you can earn from a flip.

The other best way is to use PPC or social bookmarking to earn a few dollars from your website. This will add a lot of weight to your blog.

I’m planning of case study in the coming week where I’m planning to flip websites and make 1000$ profit at the end of the month.

I think you hit the nail on the head, buyers are looking for more. Not long ago people would spend a couple hundred bucks on a new blog because it wasn’t worth their time to actually set it up, and get the articles written.

However as the economy has tanked, people watch their spending in every area and with more people selling sites the prices will naturally drop.

I think the key is going to be doing longer term flips where you actually launch the blog, do some promotion work for it, and as you said, ideally make some money with it. Get it some search engine rankings, some PR, and some age (the one thing you can’t rush) and I think you’ll be rewarded accordingly when it comes time to sell.
